    Oracle instance terminated.... not connected to Oracle

    Description:
    You see these errors in the log of a job or daemon: Oracle error: update_cursor ... ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced ... ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

    Resolution:
    It's possible that the job somehow caused Oracle to shut down, but it's more likely that some other process/person shut Oracle down and this error is the *result* of that shutdown.
    Try rerunning the job.
    If the same error occurs at the same place in the job or with the same record (for a daemon), contact Ex Libris Support.
