    Parallel indexing: Word Index corrupted

    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

     


    Problem Symptoms:
     * During parallel indexing Rebuild Word Index (manage-01) word indexing was corrupted
     * Search stopped

    To validate this is the problem:
     * Go to the proper (bibliographic) database.
     * SQL request:
    SQL>  select_count (*) from <BIB Library code>01.z97;
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-24333: zero iteration count

     * Run the same query for z95, z97,z98, z980 to find corrupted indexes.

     

    Cause:
    corrupted file_list

     

    Resolution:
    1. Correct the structure of the tables /exlibris/aleph/u20_1/<BIB Library code>07/file_list and /exlibris/aleph/u20_1/<BIB Library code>01/file_list
    2. If soft links are missing in the file_list, rerun service Rebuild Word Index (manage-01)
