    Description

Is there are particular limit to the amount-owed by a patron that will display properly?  We have a patron who SQL shows with a balance (credit) of -$1,999,999,999,551.00 .

    Resolution

As described in the article " SQL to find sum of what patrons owe ", the total amount that the patron owes is not stored in any record, it is calculated by the programs dynamically from the patron's z31_amount fields.

The Z305-SUM is the temporary storage place in this process.  It is defined as "PICTURE 9(8)V99", which means that the greatest value it can handle is 999,999.99.
