Problem with date format on Number of renewals column in GUI and OPAC

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 19.01

There is a problem with the Number of renewals column (in GUI and OPAC) is displaying: "0 (no limit on number of renewals).Latest due date is 06/10/27." We want the date format mm/dd/yy. The correct format is set in aleph_start but it doesn't appear to be using that one.

How do we change the date format for the messages?

The date is actually displaying in the format you've specified. The 'Latest due date' that is appearing next to loans indicates the date that this item will be due if the maximum number of renewals is exercised. This limit comes from column 22 of tab16. Your table has W999, which indicates 999 weeks. This puts that latest date that the patron can keep the item as about 19 years out. This is reflected in the date you are seeing - 6/10/27 (June 10, 2027.)
