    Description:
All our quick cat forms are automatically saving records as FMT = BK. In our library, we would prefer to have the default format for these Quick Cat Bib recrods to have a format of MX, indicating mixed materials.

How/where do we change the default setting for the FMT for the quick cat forms (we use them mostly in ACQ but also sometimes in CIRC)? We don't want to have to go to each archival record and change its format.

    Resolution:
You can default all fast cat records to MX instead of BK by adding this line to tab_fix in the bib library:

    INSFS fix_doc_do_file_08 change_fmt.fix

And then create a fix script in the import directory (under the tab directory of the bib library) with the name change_fmt.fix and these contents:

    1 FMT REPLACE-STRING BK,MX
