    RDA: usm01 check_doc_line missing 264 tag; usm10 check_doc_line missing 368 tag

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
Even after importing/implementing the usm01.check_doc_line described in KB 16384-60466 ("RDA - preparation for incoming OCLC RDA records"), when RDA bib records containing the 264 tag or RDA authority records containing the 368 tag are saved to the server the "Field tag not valid" message occurs.

    Cause:
The v20 check_doc_line's lack these tags.

    Resolution:
#1. Upgrade to v21, whose check_doc_line's *do* include these tags.

#2. Add the tags to the v20 USMnn check_doc_line's:

    a. Add the following lines to the usm01 check_doc_line:

    AL XX 264 - 0
    AL XX 264 - 1
    AL XX 264 - 2
    AL XX 264 - 3
    AL XX 264 - 4
    AL XX 264 - 2 0
    AL XX 264 - 2 1
    AL XX 264 - 2 2
    AL XX 264 - 2 3
    AL XX 264 - 2 4
    AL XX 264 - 3 0
    AL XX 264 - 3 1
    AL XX 264 - 3 2
    AL XX 264 - 3 3
    AL XX 264 - 3 4
    AL XX 264 a 0 -
    AL XX 264 b 0 -
    AL XX 264 c 0 -
    AL XX 264 3 0 1
    AL XX 264 6 0 1
    AL XX 264 8 0 -

    b. Add the following lines to the usm10 check_doc_line:

    AL XX 368 -
    AL XX 368 a 0 -
    AL XX 368 b 0 -
    AL XX 368 c 0 -
    AL XX 368 d 0 -
    AL XX 368 s 0 1
    AL XX 368 t 0 1
    AL XX 368 u 0 -
    AL XX 368 v 0 -
    AL XX 368 2 0 1
    AL XX 368 6 0 1
    AL XX 368 8 0 -
