What are the differences between the Reading Room Shelf Report and Reading Room Report?

Answer

The Reading Room report list all items which are currently in use in the reading room, meaning actually being read at this moment, whereas the Reading Room Shelf reports lists all those items which have not been read by the patrons in a specified period of time. You can use the reading room shelf report to return the items that are no longer needed and restore the original item information.

The status of a reading room item is identified in record z310 by the z310_out_date. If the date is filled, the item is currently read by the user.
