    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20 and up

    Problem Symptoms:

The regular overdue fine rate is being charged in the case where the item is recalled on or after its (regular) due date. (It's OK if the recall occurs *before* the item's due date.) The recall-overdue fine rate should be used.

    Cause:
    Working as designed.

    Resolution:

Aleph calculates and creates separate z31 (Cash Transaction) records for the recall overdue fine and the regular overdue fine.
The calculation of the recall overdue fine is described in Article "How are recall overdue fines calculated?"

If the z36_recall_overdue_date has not yet been reached, there will be no recall overdue fine. There is no provision in Aleph for making the recall-overdue-date be earlier because the item was overdue at the time it was recalled.
