    Renewal period for patrons who have a fixed due date

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
    I am trying to set the renewal period for patrons who have a static due date. Their loan period is 1 semester long. I tried setting column 22 in Tab16 to 30 days, and 4 weeks, and 1 month, and I could not get it to work.

    Can you tell me if it is possible to allow a 30 day renewal when you have a static due date?

    Resolution:
    It is not possible to allow a 30 day renewal when you have a static due date. Though tab16, col 22, can cause renewals to be limited to a certain number, it plays no role in the calculation of the due-date. The loan period for a renewal is the same as the loan period for an original loan: the new due-date is calculated based on the Z301-DUE-DATE, which comes from tab16, cols. 5 and 6 (and tab17).

    Note: pc_cir_440 --> ./com/due_date --> ./com_io/io_dates reads z301 .
