    Question

Does anything special need to be done before running the AIK (Aleph Installation Kit) after it fails?

    Answer

Before re-running the AIK make sure that the ftp_from_exlibris directory is empty. If you have sufficient space (/exlibris directory less than 1/2 full), you may want to rename the ftp_from_exlibris directory rather than deleting its contents:

    > mv ftp_from_exlibris ftp_from_exlibris.xxxx
    > mkdir ftp_from_exlibris

    Additional Information

Trying to install AIK after a failure:

Step 0 (Update kit parameters) goes OK, but

    1. Download software from ftp server -->
    1. Download Aleph software and third party products

fails with "chksum failed" errors and "download check failed".
