    Description:
What is the correct procedure to run serial-52 matching only according to the system number (field 001)?

    Resolution:
This is the correct work flow:

    1. Define in tab00.eng an index for system number. We recommend to call this index 001 and not SYS, as this code is already taken by the system.
    2. Define this index in xxx01, dt, tab11_ind
    3. In xxx50, dt, tab_85x_import, define 001 like this:
    ! 1 2 3 4 5
    !!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!-!!!!!
    001 I 001

    5. Comment out all other field tags in this table. In general, this is not recommended (use of the USM50 standard version is preferred), but in this case, it is appropriate.

    6. If you change tab00.eng and/or tab11_ind, you can either run p-manage-05 again.
(to index a new catalog record, you can avoid running p-manage-05, stop ue_01 and restart it again. This will enable the system to index the one new record you added to database).

    7. Run serial-52.

    8. Please note that adding even a single line (field tag) to tab_85x_import, will override the default matching fields defined in the batch service (001, 022 and 035).

    9. Also note that serial-52 will NEVER do a match according to field 245.

    Additional Information

    serial-52, 001, match, system number, 245
