    Question

Can we change the date format of the AH field in SIP2 without changing the format in all of the Aleph GUI modules?

    Answer

    * As delivered, the format of AH field in SIP2 is configured by setenv date_style_f in $alephe_root/aleph_start and there is no way to set it to different value in SIP2 than in GUI.

    * However, a date_style_f parameter can be added to the SIP2-server start script ($aleph_proc/sip2_server) and set to a different value....

    source $aleph_proc/def_local_env
    setenv date_style_f 36 <-----
    setenv item_schedule_preview_period 00:30
    ....

    * Since this setting may be overwritten during SP or version upgrades, the altered sip2_server file should be saved somewhere other than the a-tree.

    Additional Information

Format might be "YYYYMMDDhhmm" or others (formatted with the ANSI standard X3.30 for date and X3.43 for time)
