    SQL updates to vendor code in z68 and z16 records require running p_acq_04

    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description:
    We are updating obsolete vendor codes in z68 and z16 records using SQL. We thought the updated records might need to go through indexing, and submitted the ADM record numbers to p_manage_40, but that didn't affect the Order Index.

    Can p_acq_04 run with the Admin library (ABC50) unlocked? If ABC50 does need to be locked, is there another way to shorten the run time?

    Resolution:
    As described in article "p_acq_26 doesn't update the order index (z79)" (KB 16384-42481), p_acq_26 has been corrected to update the order index, so the following sequence should work:

    1. perform your desired vendor code updates with SQL;
    2. submit a dummy version of p_acq_26, changing the code to the same value it currently has (as a result of your SQL update). This will result in the z68/z16 being re-sent to the server -- which now, with the correction of p_acq_26, will result in the update of the z79.

    This makes running p_acq_04 unnecessary.
