    Saving Records from Results Found from Z39.50 Source

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
    We know we can use “Locate Similar Record” function to bring records from Z39.50 source. However, we would like to check on how we can save records retrieved from “find” function from Z39.50 source to USM01 or XXX01 library? Currently, Currently, we try to save such record, it is saving to EXT01.

    Resolution:
    After clicking on the Catalog button to open the EXT01 record in the Cataloging window, select Cataloging > Duplicate Record. This will copy the record to a local record which can be saved in the local BIB library.

    You can default the
    Duplicate dialog to your home library -- very relevant for NP.
    [DuplicateRecord]
    ; Values are:
    ; HOME - use Home library i.e the library of connection
    ; ALL - popup query using per_lib.ini libraries
    ; <Lib>[,<Lib>....] - Specify Libraries hard coded, i.e USM01 etc...
    Library=HOME
