    Question

Why are BIB records which have an item with status "98" published to Primo although they should not according to the setting in xxx50/tab/tab15.lng, column 10 (do not display in OPAC). The BIB record does not appear in the OPAC so there the setting is working correctly.

    Answer

The setting in xxx01/tab/tab15.lng only restricts item information from being displayed in the OPAC or in Primo and not BIB records. The reason why the BIB record is not displayed in the Aleph Opac is that there is an according request for records with item status 98 in the patron profile, "Denied Records" tab.

If you want BIB records with a specific item status not to be displayed in Primo you should create a logical base (alldocuments not sta=98) and use the logical base for the publiching process.
