    Description

How can you change the default which users get when they bring up the submission screen for a particular GUI Service, such as the acq-10 Service?  We want to change default value for "Update Database" from "No" to "Yes".

    Resolution

The defaults shown for a particular GUI service are found in the $alephe_root/pc_b_eng or if, none there, the $alephe_root/pc_b_eng.  In this case, that is the $alephe_root/pc_b_eng/p-acq-10.xml or the $alephe_root/pc_b_eng/p-acq-10.xml.

    The p-acq-10.xml has these lines:

                    <label>Update Database</label>
                    <source>explicit</source>
                    <default>N</default>

You would change the <default>N</default> to <default>Y</default> and restart the pc_server.
