Some "seen from" references work, some do not

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
If one does a "subject begins with" search in the opac for 'gothic architecture', one is directed to the term 'architecture, gothic' with a see reference. If one clicks on the authority record associated with the see reference, there are addtional clickable links to "broader terms" and "see also" terms.

However, if one does a "subject begins with" search for 'American Revolution' there is no cros refererence that takes one to the correct term: United States -- History -- Revolution, 1775-1783. There is "seen from" entry in the authority record for that term for "American Revolution, 1775-1783." (See attachment)

Why are the references working for 'Gothic architecture" and not "American Revolution?"

    Resolution:
The insertion of cross-references into the bibliographic browse indexes are controlled by tab20 in xxx01. You have 150/450 pairs and 151/451 pairs, but there are no 151/450 pairs. If you want a Topical term See From Tracing pointing to a Geographic Name Heading, then you need to add the 151/450 pairs. If you do make this change, you will need to restart ue_01 and ue_08.
