    Question

Why is it not possible to assign staff privileges on sublibrary level? The button is displayed in the Access Rights window but it’s greyed out.

    Answer

The Sublibrary button is accessible only if the highlighted permission is sublibrary sensitive. This information can be found in document “Aleph 20 User Guide Staff privileges” on page 16. If you choose e.g. “Cataloging – Cataloging record – Local cataloging functions” the button will be active.

When you choose a specific sublibrary already in the “Access rights – Select library” window only permissions for this specific sublibrary can be given. The sublibrary name appears then also in the window header.
