    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21

    Problem Symptoms:
    * The Aleph version was upgraded from Aleph 18 to Aleph 21
    * Since then two sets of automated emails are sent to the main inbox each day.
    * They appear to be reports confirming that processes/routines on our server have successfully run.
We would like to stop these e-mails

    Cause:
Table tab_alert of demo library usm50 contains examples, resulting in failure reports

    Resolution:
    1. Deactivate the existing lines in ./usm50/tab/tab_alert by adding '!' in front of the following lines.
    4
    !-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !E example1@test.com CIRC
    !E example2@test.com ALL

    2. Restart the PC Server (util w/3/3)

    Additional Information

The functionality is also described in document 'Aleph 21 System Librarian's Guide - Task manager', chapter '4 Sending alerts'.
