    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21

    Description:
The pc_cir_c0460 program, which produces the Items List, reads the z30h records to find the Z30H-H-DATE (the date the history record was written) and then puts it into the error_eng 1028 message:

    1028 0000 L (Last updated $1)

This has resulted in the Items List display taking 30 seconds or more for certain items (-- the most popular items, such as laptops) which have as many as 39,000 z30h records.

    Resolution:
    Corrected by:
    v21 rep_change 0002

(Note: there is no v20 equivalent; the change is in v21-up only.)

This rep_change causes the z30h/z36h records to be read faster -- but you may also want to limit the writing of z30h records: see the article " Unnecessary z30h history records ".
