Timeout creating/updating item in GUI; UPDATE-SDI
- Article Type: General
- Product: Aleph
- Product Version: 18.01
Description:
We are having problems creating, adding, modifying, deleting or binding items (basically all functions tied to C0138) using the GUI client. The systems times out at the 120sec setting.
When we look at the this ADM after the timeout, we find that the item *has* been created.
The pc_server log has this:
SERVICE : C0138
MODULE : Common Services
DESCRIPTION: Add/Modify/Delete/Get/Bind/Discard/Correct Item
ACTION : NEW
PROGRAM : pc_com_c0138
...
...
Load: /LUN0/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u18_1/abc50/tab/tab_z105_z30
Info: Empty table
/LUN0/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u18_1/abc50/tab/tab_z105_z30
This tab_z105_z30 does not exist in ABC50, but does in USM50 and is
empty in USM50. I can see if adding it to ABC50 resolves the problem,
but it is not part of our v16 implementation.
Resolution:
The diagnostics show that it stops in writing the z105 record.
What z105's are written is determined by tab_z105.
The abc50/tab_z105 has had this line added to it (in connection with v16 rep_change 703):
UPDATE-SDI 8 ABC01
Commenting out this line and restarting the pc_server corrected the problem.
To make the "UPDATE-SDI 8 ABC01" work, please check carefully the different components described in v16 rep_change 703.
