UTIL-G-2: update_cursor z52 ... table or view does not exist

    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description:
Despite the fact that there *is* an ABC90 z52 table, when we try to run UTIL-G-2 for ABC90 we get the messages:
    Oracle error: update_cursor z52
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Resolution:
Like UTIL-G-3, UTIL-G-2 wants to access the equivalent demo library.
To determine what the system considers to be the base library, please consult the article "Base library used in UTIL-G-3, UTIL-G-2, and UTIL-H".
In this case, when they did "echo $base_demo_lib" to determine the demo library, they got the reply "no_such_symbol" (indicating that the "setenv base_demo_library" had not been defined).
The ./xxx01/prof_library has this line: source $aleph_proc/def_local_env The def_lib_env proc is supposed to do
    cobrun uh_01_a
(The ./util/uh_01_a.cbl program generates the "setenv base_demo_lib".)
For some reason, this "cobrun uh_01_a" line was commented out in the m535 $aleph_proc/def_local_env .
    Uncommenting it corrected the problem.
