    Description:
The following message appears in util x:

Before cleaning /exlibris/aleph/a23_1/alephe/scratch verify that all Aleph Servers, BatchQueues and Daemons are down

Do we really have to take down these down?

    Resolution:
    UTIL-X-1, UTIL-X-2, UTIL-X-3, UTIL-X-4, UTIL-X-5, UTIL-X-9, UTIL-X-12, and UTIL-X-13 have a number-of-days-to-retain parameter which limits the deletion to files older than xx days.
If you keep all files written to in the past 31 days, then the rules about servers, queues, and daemons being down do not apply for these.

UTIL-X-7 should be run only with Aleph down, but does *not* need to be run on any regular basis. See KB 16384-18002.

UTIL-X-8 is best run with Aleph down, but the inclusion of clear_vir01 in the job_list should make util x/8 unnecessary.  See also article " UTIL-X-8: hot or cold? ".

See the "UTIL X" section of the "UTIL Menu Guide" ( https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/...Menu_Guide.pdf ) for more information.
