Unable repackage GUI: "A subdirectory or file Alephcom already exists"

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 19.01

    Description:
Our library was just upgraded from v.17 to v.19 on our production database. I am now downloading and repackaging the GUI in order to install on our staff machines. I have succesfully downloaded the gui500.exe file from the server onto my workstation and customized the client files. When I attempt to repackage the client (by using MAKEINS2.BAT, as we are Windows XP), my machine starts the repackaging and then hangs. This is as far as I can get:

“Building GUI500.EXE on the Windows 2000 Platform”
“COMMON Setting variables, cleaning up old directories.”
“BUILDSUB Creating temporary subdirectories to build client
“BUILD Packaging and creating .exe files for…”
    “Building an Alephcom during STEP2”
A subdirectory or file Alephcom already exists.

    Resolution:
The message seems to indicate that the "cleaning up old directories" didn't work for some reason....

[From site:] I tried repackaging to my D instead of C drive and this worked.
