    Unable to update patron" in Circulation GUI

    Description:
    New patrons can be created, but an attempt to delete a patron appears to fail (with the message "Unable to update patron") -- but seems to take place nonetheless.

    Resolution:
    The source of the problem was an Oracle index added by the site in an attempt to resolve a separate problem.
    Once the index was removed, the problem disappeared.
