    Problem Symptoms:
    1. Though the /exlibris/aleph/upgrade_express_2001_2101/logs/log.20130515.135148/main.log has: "Step install_utree - OK", the detailed ./install_utree.log has a "dpdir Not Found" error for each library:

    Importing to xxxnn ...
    Export files for xxxnn under /exlibris/aleph/upgrade_express_2001_2101/data/a20_1/xxxnn/files/dpdir Not Found

    2. Each xxxnn library has an empty dpdir directory.

    3. The following SQL shows USMnn and system Oracle users but no xxxnn local library Oracle users:

    > s+ usm01
    SQL> select * from all_users;

    4. The ./logs/log/2.log has: "A_ERROR $xxx30_dev does not exist in your environment" errors -- despite the fact that the following line *is* present for each Course library in the v21 aleph_start.private:

    setenv xxx30_dev ${USER_MOUNT}/u${ALEPH_VERSION}_$ALEPH_COPY

    5. The /exlibris/aleph/upgrade_express_2001_2101/data/a20_1.tar.gz file is only about 15% of the size it should be (-- having only the Aleph files, no Oracle data).

    Cause:
    The Create Customer Data step in the Source instance produced a ./data/a20_1.tar.gz file with no Oracle data.

    Resolution:
    Rerun the Create Customer Data step in the Source instance as described in KB 16384-64721 {"Oracle Data Pump doesn't work in UE Create Customer Data step (or otherwise)}.

    Additional Information

    See also KB 16384-57266 ("Size of .tar.gz file produced by Upgrade Express 'Create Customer Data' step").
