    Description:
On the ALEPH-ARC server we have Oracle v10 and Oracle v11 running. V10 is for the ARC database, and V11 is for the ALEPH database in test environment. We applied the April2010 patch for Oracle in V10 environment. We want to apply the same patch but for the V11 Oracle, but we want to be sure ... should we use the ORACLE11 user or the ORACLE user?

In the documentation the suggest the ORACLE user, so this is the one we want to use, but we want to know what is the purpose of the ORACLE11 user.

    Resolution:
Since you successfully applied the April2010 patch to your Oracle 10 as the oracle user (rather than oracle10), you should likewise apply the April2010 patch to your Oracle 11as the oracle user.
