User is unable to sign in on Web

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
Using the web interface, users are unable to sign in. You can use the interface to create a new profile, but when you log out and try to sign in, it doesn't work. We get the following response when entering a valid UserID and Password:

"Either your User ID or password does not match the system records...."

What is curious about this symptom is that it works OK on the instance this data is copied from. We have done extensive comparison with the other instances and are unable to isolate the problem.

    Resolution:
The cdl00 z308 table was missing the z308_id Oracle index. This is what util a/17/14 showed:

    Enter Table Name : z308

    Defined in file_list:
    __________________________________________________________
    IND z308_id 1M 1M TS1
    IND z308_id2 1M 1M TS1
    __________________________________________________________

    Exist in the Database:

    INDEX_NAME STATUS INDEX_TYPE UNIQUENESS COLUMN_NAME
    --------------- ------- ---------- ----------- --------------------
    Z308_ID2 VALID NORMAL NONUNIQUE Z308_ID

(It seems that the export/import process which was used to copy this table generated duplicates, which prevented the creation of the z308_rec_key.)
