User name XXX does not exist" accessing USM libraries

    Description:
We are trying to connect to the USMnn libraries but always receive the error "User name XXX does not exist.". I have checked and all the users have access rights to all of the USMnn libraries. Is there some configuration setting which we need to change to restore access to the USM libraries?

    Resolution:
KB 8192-1369 describes how USR00 is always the usr_library for the USMnn libraries. In a similar fashion USR00 is always the pw_library for the USMnn libraries. (This is coded into the ./com/get_pw_library program.).

Thus, when you try to connect to a USMnn library, the system checks for the user name in the z66 table of the USR00 library. This z66 should contain the default log-in which should allow all GUI functions in USMnn libraries. (Contact Ex Libris Support if you don't know what the default log-in is.).

You will not be able to connect to USMnn libraries with your own log-in's.

Note: To switch to USM login, while connected to your xxx01 library, click on the Key, select "Login as another user", and change the log-in to the "default user". It will say "... does not exist". But if you then select USM01 as the database, you should get in OK.
