Web OPAC Request Confirmation: Unwanted Carat

Description:
If when placing an ILL book request via the Web OPAC you enter both an author and a title, then under Request Details on the request confirmation page an unwanted carat appears between the author and the title, for example: Libris, E...^ Carat test. If no author is entered then the carat does not appear.

Resolution:
Please remove the dot and the carat from the following line in abc40/tab/edit_paragraph.eng:

002 1#### D .^ A

This will solve the problem.
