    What are the z1000, z1001, z1002, and z1003 tables?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 17.01

    Description:
    What are the z1000, z1001, z1002, and z1003 tables?

    Resolution:
Though there continue to be definitions for the z1000, z1001, and z1002 in ./alephm/sql_tab in versions 16 and 17, they are no longer included in the ./aleph/tab/file_list.ADM (the z1000 is triggered from z30_barcode, sub_library, collection, or item_status update; it is a pre-cursor to the z30 history file and, thus, now obsolete.)

    The z1002 Oracle table is created by a trigger on the z36 (loan) record. When the z36 changes, a z1002 is written indicating the date/time and the z36_id. The pre-version-16 stat_01, stat_02, stat_03, stat_04, stat_05, stat_06, stat_19, stat_20, and stat_21 circ statistics reports used this z1002 table.
These became obsolete in versions 16.02 and 17, thus the z1002 has not been needed there.
But with version 18, rep_change 197, they have been resurrected as cir_month_xxxx_week.sql routines, used by Util-s-1. If you want to use this Util-s-1utility, you would need to have the z1002. (Note: the p_cir_31 job can produce these same circ statistics.)

The z1003, as described by 14.2 rep_change 1225, is used only by the German Library Statistic (DBS) function.
