    Question

What is the purpose of file ./xxx50/tab/tab_check_sip2? It is not mentioned in the documentation and seems to be out of use.

    Answer

The following information from rep_ver #006550 (year 2003) indicates, that file tab_check_sip2 is no longer in use and can be deleted:

The checks for the selfcheck interface can now be defined in table "tab_check_circ". "tab_check_sip2" is not longer in use and should be deleted.

    Additional Information

The following entries are now available for column 1 in "tab_check_circ" replacing the entries from tab_check_sip2

SIP-AUTH (old:AUTH)             - checks during the authentication in SIP2 server
    SIP-LOAN (old:LOAN)             - item is loaned/renewed in SIP2 server
    SIP-RETURN (old:RETURN)   - item is returned in SIP2 server
