    • Article Type: General

    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
    What is the z112 table?

    Resolution:
    The z112 was introduced with v20 rep_ver 15354:

Description: Cataloging aid for fixed field coded values.
    - New mechanism and interface to enable the cataloger browsing fixed-length fields by value and description.
    - file-06 [p_file_06] will create z112 table

In GUI Cataloging - "Fixed-length Field Form" will support a new option to allow the cataloger to open a browse list of values and their description. The list will be opened for a specific tag/position and offer valid values and description. There will be also an option to "Jump to" a specific entry in the list. The configuration files that define the 'Fixed-Length Form" will have to be adjusted to point out that specific fields have a list containing valid values and description for their certain tag/position.

There are 3 configuration steps that should be done to support the display of the values and description list per material type/tag/position:

    1. Defining lists of valid values and description using new set of configuration tables. Each list will have a unique identifier.

    2. Setting up the "GUI Fixed-Length Fields Forms" to call-up relevant list using the unique identifier.

    3. Load mechanism to populate the new Z112 Oracle table that stores the identifiers and their valid values and descriptions.(file-06). This is a sample of the fixed file structure:
