    What kind of backup is required to be able to restore the ARC setup / configuration?

    Answer

    The following backups are recommended
    1. for the file system:
    * /exlibris/crn – Includes ARC related Software
    * /exlibris/app – Includes Oracle Software

    2. Content store

    Additional Information

    Please see the following chapters in the 'ARC 2.0.0 – System Administration Guide'
    7.4 Software Backup
    7.5 Data Backup

    A backup of the Oracle DB is not required, since the data can be reconstructed from the Aleph data at any time, as long as the Content Store (containing the reports) is available.
