Z07a processing has been slow after data load

    Question

Z07a processing has been slow after data load.

    Answer

A large amount of data was loaded. Many of the latest docs loaded have huge 505, 520, etc... fields and therefore many words. This causes the slowness and the frequent "Update z98 from z980" messages in the run_e_01_word.nnnn logs.

Recommendation: Set up a specific indexing value like “setenv z07_p_file_93 2011” in $alephe_root/aleph_start.private for the loaded records. This will not keep the indexing of these records from being slow, but will make sure that the “normal” indexing (of GUI-updated records) will not be interfered with. The value in the z07 record for ongoing indexing is "1990...", and when you set the z07 record with a value "2011 ..." the z07a records created from these z07 records will be handled only after all "1990..." records are finished.
