Description:
After upgrading from v16 to v18, the Web OPAC is behaving strangely, and jumping from logical base to logical base.

We are getting the following errors in the www_server logs:
Oracle error: io_z63_write
ORA-00001: unique constraint (VIR01.Z63_ID) violated

I ran A/17/1 on vir01.z63, but the errors continue. Clear_vir01 does not function. It hangs on rebuilding z52.

Resolution:
The vir01 UTIL-G-2 was blank (which means that the vir01 z52 is empty). The Web OPAC needs the vir01 UTIL-G-2 session-id in order to assign a session number to the z63. Without this, you get the Unique Constraint.

We tried running p_file_04 for the vir01 z52, but it failed with an Invalid username / Invalid option error.

It seems this has to do with the password for either the ALEPH_ADMIN or VIR01 Oracle user.

Though this was later resolved, since this was critical, we used UTIL-G-2 NEW to create a session-id with a value of 0. And we then did UTIL-A-17-1 for the vir01 z63.
