    Question

When validating BIB records with parallel fields 880, the error message displays "88" instead of 880-01, 880-02 etc.
    For example:
Error: There is only one 24510 field containing subfield 6 with occurrence number 88."

    Answer

This is message 0230 in $aleph(e)_error_lng/check_doc:
0230 L Error: There is only one "$1" field containing subfield 6 with occurrence number $2.

    The check_doc program in ./xxx01/tab/check_doc is check_doc_paired_fields.
This program should be used for Paired fields, not for Parallel fields.

    Example of Paired fields:
    1001 L $$601$$a[Name in Chinese script].
    1001 L $$601$$aShen, Wei-pin.

Example of Parallel fields (not suitable for check_doc_paired_fields):
    1001 L $$6880-01$$a[Name in Chinese script].
    8801 L $$6100-01/(B$$aShen, Wei-pin.
