    Question

What is the difference between expand_doc_bib_accref and expand_doc_bib_accref_1?

    Answer

The only difference between expand_doc_bib_accref_1 and expand_doc_bib_accref is that one puts the expanded unpreferred terms into a field code, e.g. "100", the other puts the expanded unpreferred terms into an index code, e.g. "AUT". All other functionality work the same.
