file-96 (Generic Vendor Records Loader) does not create Acquisitions data
Problem Symptoms:
When file-96 (Generic Vendor Records Loader) is run, Bib, Holdings and Items are being created, but Acquisitions records (Orders and Budget Transactions) are not being created. The relevant 980 fields for creating Acquisitions data are present in the incoming MARC records.
Cause:
The 980 fields in the incoming file are not formatted correctly. Each MARC record contains multiple 980 fields – each with a different subfield. For example, the first record in the file includes these 980 fields:
980 $$a 2017-03-02
980 $$b 44.95
980 $$e 40.88
980 $$f 4569
980 $$g 1
Resolution:
The multiple 980 fields need to be consolidated into a single 980 field:
980 $$a 2017-03-02 $$b 44.95 $$e 40.88 $$f 4569 $$g 1
