    lost the year from the WebOPAC brief view display

    Changing configuraiton files and have lost the year from the WebOPAC brief view display.

    Resolution:
    Program expand_doc_merge_union creates a merged display of the preferred record and all its equivalents..

    In order to have expanded fields taken into the merged display, a new section must be added to the tab_expand table: "PRE-MERGE". The expand programs that create the fields that should appear in the merged display must be listed under this section..

    tab_expand didn't have PRE-MERGE list, and WEB-BRIEF list had:.
    WEB-BRIEF expand_doc_yr 008,260# #c.
    WEB-BRIEF expand_doc_type tab_type_config.eng.
    WEB-BRIEF expand_doc_merge_union.
    WEB-BRIEF expand_doc_cdl_location.
    So "YR" is not taken to the merged display fields..

    To have the "YR" field displayed in the merged display, either:
    the tab_expand table must have the expand_doc_yr under the "PRE-MERGE" section:
    PRE-MERGE expand_doc_yr 008,260# #c.
    or another solution is to put the line:.
    WEB-BRIEF expand_doc_yr 008,260# #c.
    to the last line in the WEB-BRIEF list in tab_expand.

    It works for 'YR', but may not for other expanded fields.
