    p_file_20: Error 0504 : Z308-VERIFICATION can not be empty ... for z308 type 01

    The p_file_20 job log has errors like this:

    System is adding z308 type 01.
    Error (b_file_20_chk_edit_record) : Errors in Z308 Record 000114
    Number of Errors = 01
    Error 0504 : Z308-VERIFICATION can not be empty when TAB-BOR-ID-VER-NEEDED is "Y"

    Resolution:
    This is similar to KB 16384-18513. The difference is that that one is for the z308 type 00, while this is for the z308 type 01.

    In the case of the type 00, the error occurs for every (new) input record since the system needs to generate a z308 type 00 record for each (new) patron. (The type 00 is not in the input file.) That may or may not be the case with the type 01's (barcodes).

    In the case of the type 01, the generation of the z308_verification occurs only when the TAB100-DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-2 is set to "Y" (or "K").... This error is occurring because the TAB100-DEFAULT-BOR-VERIFY-2 is set to "N". Changing it to "Y" or "K" will prevent this error, but before doing so you may want to analyze the cases where this error is occurring in more detail. In particular, if these ID records *do* contain a VERIFICATION field.
