    Description:
Say I am trying to update the barcode verification for multiple ADM’s. I would like to do it without messing around with the barcode field. I thought that the "Null Character" you specify in the setup of PLIF would ignore (or leave alone) the field it was located in. For example: If I put a % in the barcode field in the PLIF file, and specified the % as the null character it would let whatever was in the barcode field originally stay and not replace it with the %. I have tested it and instead of leaving the field alone it replaces whatever was there with a %.

    Resolution:
The p_file_20 log file shows these parameters:.
    setenv p_spaces_str "%".
    setenv p_null_str "+".
Thus, "%" has been specified as the spaces (overwrite) character rather then the null (ignore) character..
It seems that the "%" and "+" should be switched in the submission parameters -- or you should put a "+" in the input record rather than "%".
