    Description:
Can/should we run p_manage_32 in a parallel library?

How long does it take for it to run?

    Resolution:
KB 16384-3730 describes some procedures which it seems should make this work, but, as described there, there seem to be problems....

The current version of p_manage_32 (version 17?-up) runs very fast. I just ran it on a 1.7 million-record bib file with three logical bases in 20 minutes. This is about 5 minutes per base. If the bases are larger, they could take a bit longer, but we recommend *not* specifying larger bases (over about 5-10% of the total records) to use the z0102. KB 16384-6668 discusses this issue.

Following these guidelines, you should find that p_manage_32 can be run overnight on even the largest databases.
