    Desired Outcome Goal:
How to add field 001 to records when exporting them using "Download Machine-Readable Records (print-03)"

    Procedure:
Specifying fix_doc_001 as a fix routine in running p_print_03 will cause the 001 to be added to the output record.

Add the following line to xxx01/tab/tab_fix
    PRNT3  fix_doc_001

[Note:  The "PRNT3" needs to be whatever is specified as the value of the "Fix Routine" parameter in the print-03 submission.]

Note that when "ALEPH Sequential" is specified as the Format of the output, the system number prints automatically in the first column of the output.

    Additional Information

If, instead of this permanent export, you are sending the records to a vendor for processing and will need to re-import them, see the article " 001 fields, creating them and overlaying with them *MASTER RECORD* " (KB  8192-2153).
