    Description:
Just curious if there is a way to have the xml files created using p_publish_06 go to another directory other than $alephe_scratch while they are in the midst of being created. The procedure does clean up after it is done, but while running these create huge listings of files and are jumbled in with other logs and temporary files. I would like to have them go somewhere else if possible.

    Resolution:
I find that the following butil programs all contain "scratch" as a component of the name of the file to which these temporary files are written:

    b_publish_06_a.cbl
    b_publish_06_b.cbl
    b_publish_06_c.cbl
    b_publish_06_check_param.cbl

Since this "scratch" is actually in the program itself, it would need to be changed to a configurable variable. Please monitor the severity of this problem. If you or other sites report this further, this could, perhaps, be an enhancement request.
