    Question

What are the values specified in column '2' in tab25.eng?

    Answer

The values in column 2 are for the character set:

    L - Latin character set.
    A - Arabic character set
    H - Hebrew character set

    Additional Information

Note this column is no longer significant. It's an artifact left from the time when Aleph didn't have full Unicode support and therefore the character set had to be explicitly designated.
