We are doing our v. 18-19 upgrade on our production server. The "View/Update upgrade parameters" looks OK and the "Check environment" says "The environment contains all of the needed modules and libraries". But steps 1012 and 1013 don't execute properly.
There are NO errors in the log for the steps; the log for 1012 simply has:
Step begin 1012
Step end 1012
In comparison, the log for that step on Test had:
xxx30 Started At 11:31:43
148 Ended At 11:31:45
for each xxx30 library.
Step 1013 also has no messages -- except for "z108 not found in xxx50" (which is normal).
There was no /exlibris/aleph/upgrade_express_1801_1901/conf/course_adm.conf file. This is a necessary file.
I copied it from the test server, and the 1012 and 1013 steps then worked properly.
If you update the list of course libraries using the "Update upgrade parameters" -- "Update Course Reading Definition", it prompts for the corresponding ADM:
The new course libraries definition is:
Are you sure (Y/[N]): Y
For course reading abc30 :
Enter corresponding adm library name in target system: [abc50]:
But if you update the ./conf/current_course_libraries.conf file directly (not using the upgrade_util menu), then you are never prompted to enter the corresponding ADM library and the course_adm.conf file never gets created.
Or, to put it another way: if you update the ./conf/current_course_libraries.conf file directly, you will also need to create and populate the ./conf/course_adm.conf file directly.
