    Description:
We restarted the server this morning and Aleph18 is not coming up. Oracle is up.

The www_server starts without error, but I am not able to connect (to http://opac.abc.edu:8991/F ). No response.

ps -ef| grep 8991 shows a process running:

    aleph 22391 1 0 09:57 ? 00:00:00 csh -f /exlibris/aleph/a18_1/aleph/proc/www_server 4991 8991 5

but the www_server log doesn't show any activity.

When I try to start the pc_server 6991, there is no error but the pc_server log has a 0 length and ps -ef |grep 6991 doesn't show any process running.

    Resolution:
The pc_server and www_server ports were used by your aleph 20 installation on the same server. Therefore, the Aleph 18 could not use those ports in order to restart the servers.

We stopped all the servers on the Aleph 20 installation in order to release the ports from use.

Please configure different ports on your Aleph 20 installation so that the problem will not occur again.
