    Description:
    We have a huge backlog of records in ABC50.z07 (228,369). From reading the associated KB's it looks like these can be safely deleted.

    I'm curious as to why so many have a timestamp of 1998:
    select count(*) from vcu50.z07 where z07_sequence like '1998%';
    COUNT(*)
    ----------
    158714

    Resolution:
    Yes, you can safely delete the z07's from ABC50. This is the indexing queue, and you aren't indexing your ABC50 ADM records. You can do the batch deletiong at any time. It won't affect ongoing operations.

    Regarding the 1998 date in the timestamp, the system will artificially backdate z07's to control the order in which records are indexed. Earlier dates will move the z07's up in the queue. This is normally done to insure that records created online are indexed before batch loaded records.
