    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description:
    When Netlibrary records were completely deleted (with all check_doc BATCH-DELETE lines commented out) 17 did not get cleaned out of the z13 table.
    {Note: when a bib record is logically deleted (has all the fields removed, leaving only a "stub" record with the LDR, 008, and "DEL Y" field), the associated z13 has all its fields emptied out but is not physically deleted.}

    Resolution:
    Saving the stub bib record, with the DEL Y field, to the server got rid of the z13 data.

    Additional Info / Related Articles
    Article "Delete BIB Recs Incl. Related ADM/HOL Recs (manage-33): BATCH-DELETE lines"  describes the role of the BATCH-DEL checks in preventing bib deletion -- though it should be noted that these checks do *not* affect the removal of the author, title, etc., fields from the z13 record:  when the bib record is logically deleted, those corresponding changes to the z13 always happen.
